Standing Up For Services in Vernon
Local 1471 members get the job done on a public works project.
Council 4 members in Vernon are proud of the the work they do for residents and businesses. They take pride in getting the job done well and efficiently.
Council 4 has five bargaining units in Vernon: Local 1471 (Public Works, Parks and Recreation and Water Pollution Control); Local 818-15 (Public Works Supervisors); Local 818-18 (Town Hall Supervisors and Professionals); Local 818-26 (Water Pollution Control Supervisors); and Local 1303-41 (Public Works Clerical Employees).
Members from our 5 bargaining units in Vernon turned out for a recent Town Council meeting.
Together, they are making their voice heard. Our union members recently launched an advertising campaign in the Journal Inquirer to spotlight their dedication to the job. Entitled "Vernon Works Because We Do," the ads are part of a broader effort to support quality public services.
