Red Cross Workers Reach AgreementRed Cross workers, union supporters and elected officials rallied Nov. 9.
AFSCME Local 3145, representing blood collection workers at the American Red Cross, reached a tentative agreement (TA) on a new collective bargaining agreement, bringing to an end to a nearly two-week strike. The TA, reached on Nov. 13, requires ratification by AFSCME Local 3145 members. Ratification of the tentative agreement will take place Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Farmington Senior Center, 321 New Britain. Ave., Unionville, CT. The Bargaining Team will be available an hour before to answer any questions you have. We appreciate the support and trust of our members -- as well as AFL-CIO union member and elected officials -- throughout the continuing struggle for dignity, respect and blood drive safety. Stay tuned for more updates. Thank you. Additional Resources |
