UPDATED AS OF JULY 20, 2016
****** BREAKING NEWS ***** BREAKING NEWS ***** BREAKING NEWS ***** BREAKING NEWS ******
We understand that some State Human Resources Departments have just announced to their employees that SEBAC class members eligible for economic damages under the SEBAC Settlement will begin receiving their economic damage awards in their payroll.
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY APPLIES TO CLASS MEMBERS WHO HAVE A FINALIZED ECONOMIC DAMAGES AWARD – THAT IS, AN AWARD THAT HAS BEEN REVIEWED BY US WITH YOU AND AGREED TO BY YOU. You will not receive an award from the State until one of our attorneys has reviewed your offer with you and analyzed it with you to make sure that it is complete and that you agree with it.
IF YOU HAVE NOT YET HEARD FROM US REGARDING YOUR OFFER, WE HAVE EITHER NOT YET RECEIVED A COMPLETE OFFER FOR YOU FROM THE STATE (AND WE WILL CONTACT YOU WHEN WE GET IT) OR WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REACH YOU TO DISCUSS THE OFFER WITH YOU. IF YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE ENTITLED TO AN ECONOMIC DAMAGES AWARD AND HAVE NOT ALREADY PROVIDED US WITH CONTACT INFORMATION, PLEASE CONTACT US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE EITHER BY EMAIL AT MJACKSON@SGTLAW.COM OR BY TELEPHONE AT (203) 325-4491 TO PROVIDE US WITH CONTACT INFORMATION.
