Oct 8, 2015 -- A federal judge on October 1, 2015 formally approved the settlement previously reached in the class action lawsuit by Connecticut state employees and their unions against former Governor John Rowland.

The court action brings final victory in the 12-year fight for justice by thousands of public service workers whose First Amendment rights were infringed.

Hear from four union members who were laid-off in 2003. Their stories represent the impact of the former governor’s illegal political retaliation against state workers and the wider public who depended on them. Update: The Rowland Settlement payments have started to roll out, with $100 payments going to former State employees who suffered no economic loss in the layoffs.
