March 12, 2020: Due to issues around the Coronavirus emergency, we have postponed this training to a future date. Thank you.

Join us for an important two-part training:

  • CPR 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Opioid 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The objective of the training is for workers to recognize the dangers of fentanyl, heroin and related substances. Workers will learn that during routine job duties they can be exposed through inhalation, ingestion, skin contact and injection.

The training will include best practices to avoid exposure and the employers’ responsibility under the OSHA to issue gloves, safety glasses and masks to workers. Workers will also be taught best practices for handling and disposing of used hypodermic needles and the employers’ responsibilities under OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogen Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).

Workers will also be informed of the signs and symptoms of a drug overdose and the emergency steps that should be considered in responding to the situation.
