We Are The Afscme Council 4 Public Safety Coalition
Connecticut's communities never rest. Our neighborhoods demand safety. That’s why people who work in law enforcement and public safety never stop. This isn’t just a job. It’s a calling. Your work matters because it means something to make a community better.
The AFSCME Council 4 Council 4 Public Safety Coalition is comprised of unions representing more than 2,000 police officers across the state, from our largest cities to our smallest towns and everything in between. Our objective is to protect your rights and freedoms when it comes to bargaining for better wages, benefits and working conditions.
Our Public Safety Coalition is chaired by Sgt. Jeffrey Reimer, President of the East Windsor Police Union. We meet regularly (including zoom meetings during the pandemic) to address issues impacting police officers in our communities and at the legislature.
