Our Work At The State Capitol (Legislation)

Connecticut’s police officers bravely protect our communities every day. Council 4 exists to protect them. Council 4 fights relentlessly to protect Connecticut’s police officers—securing strong contracts with competitive pay, defending earned benefits (particularly defined-benefit pensions), and safeguarding the working conditions our law enforcement professionals deserve. We bring that fight to every arena where decisions impacting law enforcement are made, from the negotiating table to the halls of power. From municipal city halls to the Connecticut General Assembly to Congress, we stand as a shield for those who wear the badge.
