About Us

AFSCME Local 3145 represents more than 150 front-line blood collection workers at the Connecticut Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross. Our members are responsible for collecting, processing and transporting blood safely. 

Our union is part of a national coalition of bargaining units representing Red Cross workers. Together, we are committed to protecting the integrity of our country's blood supply and standing up for blood donors and recipients. 

We are affiliated with AFSCME Council 4 in New Britain, Connecticut, along with our national AFSCME union in Washington, DC.
