AFSCME Local 1303 and AFSCME Local 818 College Scholarships Now Available

Two of Council 4's union chapters are offering scholarships for the children of members who plan to attend college in 2018-19:

AFSCME Local 818, representing municipal supervisory employees throughout Connecticut, will be awarding three $500.00 scholarships this year to any Local 818 member children/dependents who are high school seniors or students currently enrolled in an education program beyond the secondary level in a 2 year, 4 year or graduate program.

The deadline for Local 818 scholarship applications is March 29, 2018.

AFSCME Local 1303, representing municipal employees throught Connecticut, will be awarding eight $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who will be attending college in the fall of 2018.

Local1303 also has available two $1,000 scholarships for college students entering their second year of college in the fall of 2018.
