We are AFSCME Local 1522
AFSCME Local 1522 represents approximately 1,200 union members in the Bridgeport Board of Education and for the City of Bridgeport.
We are a diverse union.
Our members provide vital services to the people of Bridgeport. We work as school paraprofessionals, custodial and maintenance employees, clerical staff, and information technology specialists. And we also have members who work at Beardsley Zoo and the Board of Education Maintenance Department.
