We are AFSCME LOCAL 478

AFSCME Local 478 represents over 350 administrative clerical employees from Bridgeport to Meriden.  We are affiliated with Council 4 in New Britain and AFSCME International in Washington, DC.  We are part of the NP-3 bargaining unit which represents over 4,000 state clerical employees.

• To develop a voice to speak on behalf of the members’ political, socio-economic, and labor related causes.

• It is our mission to enhance, promote, and encourage activism.
