Fighting for Candidates Who Will Fight for Us

Below is the list of AFSCME 2026 candidate endorsements for state representative and state senate. 

The endorsements followed a member-driven process involving representatives
from across Council 4’s diverse membership, including state employees, municipal
workers, public safety professionals, education employees and other essential
public service workers.

Council 4 represents members working in many different professions and
communities across Connecticut. While their individual jobs may differ, the
union’s ethos remains the same: supporting leaders who will stand shoulder to
shoulder with working people in protecting fair pay, secure pensions, affordable,
high-quality healthcare and safe working conditions.

Members from every sector of the union participated in the interviews and
deliberations and had the opportunity to ask candidates about the issues that
mattered most to them. Following that process, Council 4’s delegates voted to
endorse the following candidates:
